Harvested Today. On Your Plate Tonight.
Why Noble Planter's same-day harvest model makes local microgreens different.
When we talk about fresh microgreens, how fresh are we actually talking?
At Noble Planter, the answer can be pretty simple: harvested the same day they're delivered.
That's an important part of how we grow - and one of the biggest advantages of working directly with a local grower.
It Starts Before Harvest Day
Freshness doesn't begin when the scissors or knifes come out.
At Noble Planter, microgreens are grown to order, meaning production is planned around the needs of our customers whenever possible. Instead of growing large amounts of product and hoping it sells, trays are scheduled with upcoming orders and regular customer demand in mind.
That approach helps us focus on three things that matter tremendously to restaurants and food businesses:
Consistency. Dependability. Freshness.
Harvest Morning
When delivery day arrives, the goal is simple: shorten the time between the grow rack and your kitchen. Microgreens scheduled for delivery are harvested, carefully packed, kept refrigerated, and prepared for their trip to the customer.
There aren't multiple warehouses or distribution centers between the grower and the chef.
It's a much shorter journey:
Grow > Harvest > Pack > Deliver > Your Kitchen
Why Local Delivery Matters
Traditional produce can travel through several stages before reaching a restaurant or consumer. Working with a local grower creates a much more direct relationship with your food.
Noble Planter provides local hand delivery within our service area, allowing us to personally bring our microgreens to the businesses and customers using them.
That also means something else we think is pretty valuable:
You know the grower.
Have a question about a variety? Need to adjust an upcoming order? Looking for a different flavor profile for a menu item?
You're talking directly to the person growing it.
Freshness Is About More Than Appearance
Microgreens may be small, but restaurants can ask a lot from them.
They need color. Texture. Flavor. Presentation. Most importantly, they need to arrive when the kitchen expects them.
That's why our approach isn't simply about producing microgreens.
It's about creating a dependable local supply relationship.
Whether they're finishing a sandwich, adding color to a plated entree, bringing peppery flavor to a dish, or becoming part of a salad, we want our greens arriving ready for the job they were grown to do.
A Different Kind of Supply Chain
Noble Planter isn't trying to be a massive produce distributor. Yet. Haha.
We're building something intentionally smaller and more personal - a local microgreens grower that restaurants, food businesses, and our Harvest Club members can actually know and communicate with. As we grow, we plan to stick to this model and never lose track of what matters.
Because when you shorten the distance between the grower and the plate, you don't just know where your food came from.
You know who grew it.
